The Swedish retail chain Clas Ohlson ended the first quarter (May to July) of fiscal 2020/2021 with an increase in sales of 1 per cent. With a volume of sales of SEK 2.044 bn (EUR 200.1 mio), organic growth – in local currencies and including new stores – amounted to 7 per cent, with an increase in comparable units of 8 per cent. Online sales increased by 63 per cent to SEK 184 mio (EUR 17.8 mio).
However, sales in August decreased by 7 per cent; organic sales saw a decrease of 2 per cent, sales in comparable units of 1 per cent.
